ED HOPPE
As most of you know, Ed Hoppe passed away. Ed has helped the club in many ways, most unknown to current members. He could always be counted on when projects, work, or fund raisers was being held. He stepped up and loaned the club money to get us through the rebuilding phase, after our closure. He was a very close friend of mine, as well as many other members. His presence will be greatly missed. If you would like to make a donation to the family, contact Joni. She will be taking donations until 30 December. For those that donate, their names, but not the amount donated, will be given to Annette.
ELECTION BALLOTS
We have received about half of the ballots back of those that were mailed out. Please take the time to look it over, mark them, and mail them in the envelope that was provided. They must be post marked no later than 31 December to be counted. If you are on the "No Mail List", contact Joni to receive your ballot. Make your vote count. Make your voice heard.
NEW NEWS EDITOR
Bill Stricklin has agreed to take over the job of News Editor. As soon as he and Joyce get back from their trip to Hawaii, he will be handling the power bills and news letter. Now, who in their right mind would want to go to Hawaii when we have paradise right here in north Bay County? Some people just don’t have their priorities set right.
MID LEVEL DECK
Most of the work has been completed on the mid level deck. Just a few items remain which will be done very soon. Our thanks go out to the members that worked on the deck.
THANKSMAS
PARTYThe Thanksmas party will be Saturday, December 2nd 2006. This is one of our big social events of the year and every one has always had a great time. Come on out and join the fun. You won’t go away without that feeling of the holiday season. The club house has already been decorated for the big party. I hope to see most of our members there.
MEMBERSHIP MEETING
Our next scheduled membership meeting will be held on January, 14th, 2007. On that day, ballots will be counted and results of the smoking in the club house will be tallied. There are several very important items that will be presented at the meeting. I encourage each member to be present for this important meeting.
ASSESSMENT
An assessment has been mailed out to our members for the repair of the # 3 well. Members will have until 18 May to make their payment. For those members that have requested no mail be sent, they are still responsible for making payment. If you are on the No Mail list contact Joni to get your assessment. The assessment will be $13.88 per member.
CLUB HOUSE
The clubhouse has been cleaned and boxes put away in the storage building. Let us all do our part on keeping the club house clean and free of accumulated items. There are several items that were placed in the lost and found box that members need to pick up. Items include air mattress, floats, and other items.
WINTERISING CAMPERS
With colder weather on the way, members with campers need to take a close look at their camper space. Now is the time to make sure the exposed water pipes are protected against freezing. Members should also check the water hose going to their camper and drain if needed. Turn off the faucet and disconnect the water hose to prevent bursting. If your camper has a drain for the water tank and water heater, it would be good to drain them also. Think ahead, to prevent a head ache and lots of work later.
NEWS YEARS EVE PARTY
On December 31st there will be a New Years Eve party at the club. Make plans on being there and ringing in the New Year, Bay Bares style. More information will be sent to each of you in the form of telephone calls from one of our party coordinators.
